Explore the outdoors
Explore the outdoors
For homework I stayed a night in the Tarawera bush. I and made a Bivouac to stay in. It rained but I remained dry in my shelter made of sticks, rope and ferns. I slept all night. I look forward to doing it again soon!

Rimu tree study

4. Why is Rimu the best tree in the school?
1. Rimu grows all over New Zealand in the North and South Islands, It grows in low-lying rain forests. Also Rimu is a slow-growing tree.
2. Rimu gum was/can be used to stop the bleeding of wounds. Also it was be used to treat internal bleeding and headaches.
3. It was widely used in the building of homes throughout New Zealand and today is found in furniture.
4.The Rimu tree is the best tree in the school because it lives every where in New Zealand and is a very tall canopy tree growing to a height of 35 to 50 metres.

Cooking challenge update
On Wednesday the 27th of March I cooked dinner for my family.
My Mum and sister rated me out of 10 and I scored 9.5.
